Blackfire
Blackfire one of Australia’s most popular indigenous acts is reforming.
They will play at the Long Walk festivities at Federation square as part of the Indigenous Round on Saturday June 2nd.
Blackfire travelled extensively around Australia and were a big hit in Asia in the late 90s.
They released two Albums
A Time to Dream and Night Vision to critical acclaim.
They appeared regularly on National TV numerous times and played at all the big Festivals around Australia. Even being awarded Aboriginal Band of the year for the NAIDOC Awards.
They were renowned for their heart felt lyrics, catchy tunes and straight ahead rock sound.
Most of the members featured on Vocals although Lead Singer Kutcha Edwards is not joining the guys this time around concentrating on his solo career.
However the band has a couple of special guests to sing a few of their most popular tracks to help celebrate their reunion in style.
Adam Thompson from Chocolate Starfish will join the guys for a few songs and Gurrenah Possum -Burns son of Lead Guitarist Selwyn Burns will also feature.
The band are planning to continue playing after this performance and bring out a new Album.
