The Long Walk celebrates Michael Long's induction into Essendon's Hall of Fame with the offer of a corporate box to Dreamtime at the G 2010
The 19th and 20th legends of the Essendon Football Club were inducted last night at the 2010 Essendon Season launch.
Two-time premiership player Michael Long and the late long-serving administrator Wally Crichton were inducted as 'legends'.
An emotional Long said playing at Essendon had changed his life and that he was overwhelmed by joining people like Simon Madden as a club legend.
Full highlights of the night and photos including an interview with Michael Long on being inducted are available on Essendon's website.
The Long Walk congratulates Michael Long on being the first Indigenous legend to be inducted into Essendon's Hall of Fame and is now looking forward to The Long Walk on Saturday 22 May, 2010.
To celebrate The Long Walk is pleased to launch the online auction of a corporate box to the headline game of the AFL's Indigenous Round, Dreamtime at the 'G.
Enjoy Dreamtime at the 'G match between Essendon and Richmond in style from a corporate suite at the MCG this year.
The Long Walk is auctioning this box to raise funds for The Long Walk's programs which support Indigenous wellbeing. The box accommodates 16 people and includes food and beverage – a buffet style picnic of meat pies and pasties and all beer, wine and soft drink.
