Aboriginal Children's Day
Aboriginal Children's day was celebrated at Essendon Football Club on Friday 12th August. The day was made just for the boorais (meaning 'children'), with a Koorie painting workshop and cultural dance workshop. The Long Walk hosted this special event for boorais from Yappera Childcare and Hume City Council's Boorai Playgroup.
Bombers players Courtenay Dempsey, Gach Nyon and Yestin Eades led the boorais on an enjoyable football clinic on the oval.
SNAICC staff, students and volunteers, along with The Long Walk's General Manager, Leanne Brooke, assisted with a very successful day.
